TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE
An important committee of the MPO is known as the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). This group consists of representatives of each of the member entities plus additional non voting members with skill specialties that are tied to long range planning such as GIS, traffic management, engineering and construction.
The TAC meets on a monthly basis to review and prioritize transportation planning needs and to provide recommendations to the Policy Board. The TAC often holds special meetings in addition to the regularly scheduled meetings when key documents are under review. These extra meetings occur during the TIP review, amendments to adopted documents which may include the By Laws, the Public Participation Plan (PPP) as well as the Title VI Plan, and the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP).
